How to Get a Copy of a Midland Court Document
Copies of court documents come in two types: certified and uncertified. A certified copy contains the court's official seal and is usually required for legal procedures — filing in another court, immigration cases, criminal record verification. An uncertified copy is suitable for personal review.
How to Obtain a Copy
- Online — through MiCOURT Case Search you can view basic case information. To obtain full documents or certified copies, you usually need to contact the clerk's office directly
- In-person — visit the clerk's office of the respective court (Circuit or District Court) at 301 W. Main St., Midland, MI 48640. Bring the case number or the full name of the party
- By mail — send a written request with the case number, party names, and type of document to the appropriate court address:
Include payment in the form of a money order for the appropriate amount. Personal checks are not always accepted — confirm this in advance by phone.

- Vital Records (birth, death, marriage) — stored in the county's Vital Records department
